We are seeking a dynamic Production Engineer with a focus on electronics and testing to join our team. This role will support operations by designing and producing test equipment for in-process sub-assembly testing and LRU/RMA testing, as well as developing the associated test plans. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the liaison between Engineering and Production teams, focusing on test requirements during production to enhance build quality and minimize rework. * Provide electrical and test support to address engineering production issues, ensuring minimal production delays. * Design and develop test equipment, and assist with the procurement of necessary tools, jigs, and fixtures. * Create test plans and procedures, coordinating production engineering processes to ensure high-quality products that meet customer requirements. * Support Engineering with the implementation of Change Requests (CRs). * Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to boost production capacity, quality, and reliability, while supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts. * Assist the Quality department with inspection and investigative activities. * Contribute to budget preparation and monitor related expenses. * Conduct engineering analysis to minimize downtime and outages of test and production assembly equipment. * Troubleshoot and fault-find electromechanical equipment, analyzing root causes and implementing resolutions. * Stay updated on product specifications, engineering technologies, and production processes. * Travel as needed to assist customers with technical and production issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. * Provide training to production staff, facilitating knowledge transfer within the team. * Adhere to company procedures, policies, and goals, maintaining the company’s strong reputation. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, working in a safe and conscientious manner. * Follow all procedures as outlined in the Quality Manual. * Maintain a clean and organized office and workshop environment, ensuring good project housekeeping. * Continuously seek to improve personal performance. Skills & Experience Essential: * At least 5 years of relevant experience in a test/engineering environment or a qualification such as BTEC/City & Guilds Level 2. * Strong knowledge of testing electrical and electromechanical equipment. * Proficiency in reading complex technical drawings, including wiring and PCB schematics. Desirable: * Experience in staff supervision or mentoring. * Knowledge of LabVIEW software. * Familiarity with PLC programming. * Experience with CAD software. Security Clearance Requirements: Due to the nature of our business, successful candidates must obtain UK Security Clearance. Proof of identity, employment history, right to work in the UK, and UK residency for at least five years will be required
