The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Computer Science Teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students. You will inspire students to engage with computational thinking, programming, and the wider implications of technology in society. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach a range of computing topics, including programming languages such as Python, Java, and web development. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, offering timely feedback and guidance. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Computer Science examinations. Keep up to date with educational trends and technological advancements in the field of computer science. Participate in school activities and events, including extra-curricular clubs and ICT-related activities. Candidate Requirements: Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Computer Science or a related subject. Experience in teaching Computer Science at secondary level (KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5). Strong subject knowledge in programming languages and computer systems. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities. Desirable: Experience with industry-standard software and programming languages. Knowledge of the latest technological trends and educational software.
