Project Manager/Paralegal

Wiggin LLP, London, England (hybrid)

We are looking for someone to join our Communications, Commercial and Competition Team in a role involving predominantly legal project co-ordination, advice analysis, matter management and supporting activities to a global client base.

This vacancy is a really great opportunity to put your best legal analysis experience to the test, whilst being superb at managing process, communication, timelines and internal/external updates.

The role will primarily support a multi-year multi-jurisdictional mandate for a global client and other cross-border projects being delivered by the team. The role will also support the expansion of our service, which offers a global regulatory monitoring service for multi-national clients.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Corresponding directly with the Team’s clients in respect of any work being undertaken for them
  • Corresponding directly with a worldwide network of local solicitors firms that provide legal advice and data to the team, interpreting and analysing instructions and inputs, and ensuring work is delivered in a timely manner and is of sufficient quality
  • Liaising with the worldwide network in relation to substantive updates, changes and administrative matters
  • Project management, supervision of the wider team and internal information management
  • Preparing and finalising advice and data to be submitted to clients or review team work on same
  • General communications, technology, and competition law research for the Team
  • Administrative tasks such as ensuring billing is done in a timely manner, preparation of detail reports for specific projects and assisting with any internal or external financial queries
  • General file management and organisation, where required

Candidate requirements:

The role is likely to suit someone with a strong paralegal or project management experience with experience of co-ordinating and driving multiple matters or projects. Ideally you will have experience gained in the telecoms or a regulated sector, and have experience working with a range of international clients and lawyers. You will ideally have some experience analysing legal instructions, advice and regulatory frameworks. An understanding of the UK communications regulatory framework and some understanding of communications technologies would also be helpful.
