Operations Team Leader

MCS Group is proud to work with a leading food manufacturing company in Craigavon, to recruit an experienced Operations Team Leader. As the operations team leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delegation of duties to your team, to ensure the delivery of shift, daily, and weekly production goals. Duties & Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for your team members, ensuring regular communication and ensure the majority of issues are dealt with/ or when necessary flag to the relevant manager Provide a first point of contact for other functions outside of normal office hours and to escalate any issues. Communicate regularly with the departmental manager on all current and potential future issues. Coach and mentor the team to enable their performance standards in safety, quality, cost. delivery and environmental. Allocate work, manage staffing levels and ensure attendance, grievance and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure that all team training needs are identified, monitored. and reviewed Ensure timely and accurate records are maintained of all production adjustments, and that all operational checks are carried out and documented Monitor all process controls on a continuous basis and ensure your team members carry out the necessary adjustments to maintain production within specification and minimise waste. Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times Essential Criteria 1 - 3 years recent and relevant experience of shift supervision and team leadership in a production or manufacturing environment, with evidence of having monitored KPIs and introduced initiatives to ensure consistent achievement of production targets. GCSE pass level in Maths & English. Experience in using standardised work instructions Knowledge of how safe working practices are applied and how a safe place of work (SPOW) can be enhanced through operator inclusively. Carried out Risk Assessments and hazard elimination. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment where multiple workstations interact together to deliver an efficiently manufactured product.
