Thera's vision is that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society.RequirementsIdeally you drive and have a car but if not you will be happy to use public transport or join a family in their car.We want to hire more exceptional care and support workers to join our growing team. We need you to have a sense of fun and a zest for life. A purpose driven by kindness and caring about others and willing all people to be their best selves.We need you to have great communication skills both speaking, listening, writing and a bit of digital savviness too. You'll be a good decision maker and support others to make the right decisions and work alone or as part of a team.Ideally, you will have experience in our sector and be qualified to a Level 2 in Health and Social Care ( or 2 years sold experience), but if not, we will support you to achieve this. You will need to have great communication skills, both speaking and listening and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required. More importantly you will have learned transferable skills and have the right compassion and commitment to be brilliant in your new role with us. Being a Care and Support worker will be as challenging as rewarding. We believe the people we support are always at the centre of every decision, so we ensure our team can really consider the support they offer. This can range from daily personal care , day to day chores to social trips out shopping, crafting and to the cinema. It's rarely always the same its what makes this job so enjoyable.BenefitsRotas, Pay and Benefits.We have FT shifts at 39 hours per week. We ask that you can work alternative weekends.
