CNC Machinist

Major Recruitment is proud to announce that we are now working with a fantastic new client based in Huddersfield who is now looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team due to recent expansion and growth! This would be ideal for someone looking to get into CNC programming Due to their recent growth, they've just moved into a brand-new facility in Huddersfield and are awaiting a CNC Turner to join them on their journey which is only going to the moon! This role is a full-time position with a working week of Monday to Friday with working hours being Mon to Thurs 7.45AM to 4.45PM & Friday 7.45AM to 3.45PM WITH every other Friday off! Your main work of focus as a CNC Operator/Machinist will be machining billet steel into sprockets which would then be used in the conveyor belts that are later produced. There also is an element of Plastic Turning and Gear Cutting involved. However, the gear cutting aspect isn't essential, just advantageous, as you will be trained onsite if not already. They type of candidate they're looking for is: Someone who's familiar and confident in the FANUC control. Someone who's able to programme. Ideally someone who's worked with hard steel. Someone who's previously done Gear cutting however this isn't essential just advantageous.Your duties will include: CNC operator/machinist of billet steel into Sprockets to be later used in production. Programming. Interpret engineering drawings and job routings to setup and program a range turning operations on both repeat and new components. Able to work to timelines and multi-task in a busy environment.The benefits offered in this role include: Hourly Salary of £14 - £15! Overtime - paid at either 1.33x or 1.5x!
