Head of Data Strategy & Architecture

We are seeking an accomplished Head of Data Strategy and Architecture to take ownership of our enterprise-wide data strategy, aligning it with business objectives to fuel innovation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. As a critical leader within our organisation, you will act as the architect and steward of our data strategy, ensuring it is embedded into our culture and operational framework. Key Responsibilities: Lead the evolution of the enterprise-wide data strategy and roadmap, securing buy-in from senior leadership. Develop and maintain the data architecture practice, including strategic and transitional architectures. Oversee and mentor the Data Architecture team, driving their professional development and expanding organisational data capabilities. Own and govern the architectural processes for data-related change. Chair the Data Council, leading the design and implementation of robust data governance policies. Define and uphold the data strategy and architecture principles that guide the organisation’s mission. Your profile: Data Architecture & Technical Expertise : Proficiency in data architecture, governance frameworks, and a deep understanding of data technologies and platforms. System Integration : Familiarity with enterprise-level systems and cloud-based solutions, with the ability to drive advancements through emerging technologies. Industry-Specific Insight : Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices to align data strategy with business objectives. Team Leadership & Development : Experience with career development frameworks like SFIA, guiding a team of data professionals towards long-term growth. Strategic & Analytical Mindset : A strong ability to think strategically, manage capital investments, and adapt the data strategy to emerging trends and organisational goals.
