Recruiting Now: CAD Engineer, Middlesbrough
Our client is a leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor within the marine and renewable energy engineering sector.
Due to business expansion they are looking to add an experienced CAD Engineer to their team in Middlesbrough.
As CAD Engineer you will provide detailed 2D and 3D drawings for all phases of our offshore wind installation projects including
drawings of deck layouts, sea fastening, lifting plans, rigging plans and vessel positioning.
You can easily create storyboards to use guide colleagues through all of the detailed steps.
The responsibilities of a CAD Engineer:
- Creating 2D and 3D drawings for our offshore wind projects within our Offshore Wind Department
- Identifying clashes and clarifying operational issues by making 3D visualisations
- Contribute to finding efficient methods for transport and installation of the foundation and wind turbine components
- Contributing to standardisation and optimisation of work processes within the drafting office
- Contributing to the process of design and engineering of project specific installation tools and equipment
The ideal CAD Engineer will have:
- A minimum of Level 3 education with work experience
- Experience as a technical draftsman with focus on offshore operations
- Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 3D
