We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Operations Manager to join a well established, successful manufacturer in Warwickshire. A small and friendly team, with lovely offices and free onsite parking. Excellent salary, great benefits and lots of career potential.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role or looking to step in to their first operations manager role, they will have experience of working in manufacturing or engineering and procurement / purchasing experience, they will thrive in driving business performance, are a team player, resilient, assertive, open to change, and have a collaborative approach to working together while leading by example.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Purchasing & Order Processing functions to deliver excellent customer service through efficient and effective processes.
- Manage, motivate and develop members of the team to take ownership of the team objectives, proactively make improvements and deliver for our internal and external customers.
- Manage the department’s workload. Take a hands on approach, learning the detail of the departmental functions and contributing to capacity by carrying out work yourself regularly, including order processing, purchasing, stock control and logistics.
- Identify and implement process improvements including working with other departmental managers to change and improve business-wide processes.
- To be proactive in ensuring that stock is planned (monitor and maintain stock levels) and purchased efficiently for production, to pre-order materials, reserving materials, order required materials confirming that material receipt dates meet the required production schedule.
