INTERIM ACCOUNTANT

INTERIM ACCOUNTANTFAMILY OFFICE IN CENTRAL LONDONWe are an entrepreneurial family office, based in central London. Due to the increased growth in our business, we need an interim accountant for a period of approx. 6 months, although this could be extended, to assist in the initiation of monthly management accounts for one of our major investing companies and to assist the Head of Finance in simplifying the structure of the group.Specific duties include:-preparing monthly consolidated management and annual statutory audited accounts for the principal group. This includes several companies as well as a private equity business, holding many international assets;assessing profitability and gains or losses in each investing company to mitigate tax exposure as the financial year progresses;preparing statutory accounts for various other smaller subsidiariesliaising with advisors in preparing and reviewing sets of accounts and tax returns.Ideal experienceThe ideal candidate who must be a qualified accountant will be experienced in producing monthly consolidated and statutory accounts. You will have a good understanding of the main UK taxes of corporation, income and capital gains taxes. Knowledge of Xero would be advantageous but not essential.You will appreciate operating in a close-knit team which can make decisions and execute rapidly.The role is notably varied, covering a wide range of activity across all classes of private and public investments, fixed interest, property and insurance. He/she will have had several years of experience which ideally includes working in a family office or in fund management or investment management accounting.The candidate will be expected to be in the office throughout the week, so reasonable proximity to central London is essential.
