Pharmacist 7 - London Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist 7 Location: SW10 Band: Band 7 Contract Type: Locum Salary: £26 - £28 per hour Are you a highly skilled Pharmacist (Band 7) seeking a locum position? Medacs Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for 2 Pharmacists to join an NHS hospital in Chelsea and Westminster, to support them in providing the highest levels of patient care. One vacancy will be for the Emergency and Integrated Care Division, the other will be in Planned Care (Surgery) Post 1 Be responsible for the clinical pharmacy service provided to a sub-speciality within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division Review prescriptions for accuracy and legality and identify actual and potential problems Clinically screen and supply of medicines suitable for use as an inpatient and appropriately labelled for discharge Monitor and review therapeutic use of medicines Ensure the effective outcomes of treatment with medicines Monitor patients for potential and actual adverse effects of their medicines Take steps to ensure patients understand the purpose of their medicines and deal with any practical issues that may prevent the optimal use of their medicines Support the planning of patient discharge with respect to medication Ensure safe, clinically effective and cost effective use of medicines Demonstrate professional accountability to patients Support the provision of an efficient, safe and legal dispensing service in the Dispensary as required Promote professional standards in the dispensary by acting as a role model to other pharmacists and techniciansPost 2 To be responsible for the clinical pharmacy service provided to a sub-speciality within the Planned Care (Surgery) Division Review prescriptions for accuracy and legality and identify actual and potential problems Clinically screen and supply of medicines suitable for use as an inpatient and appropriately labelled for discharge Monitor and review therapeutic use of medicines Ensure the effective outcomes of treatment with medicines Monitor patients for potential and actual adverse effects of their medicines. GPhC registration. Previous wards-based experience. Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience. 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
