Digital Trading Lead (Food)London (Hybrid)£40,000 - £45,000 (full time salary this will be Pro rata) plus benefitsA leading national Retailer is looking for an experienced Digital Trading Lead to join the Food team on a part time bases for 3 days a week.As the Digital Trading Lead for the Food category, you will be responsible for owning and driving the performance and growth of the Food categories across digital channels and supporting the successful trading of the categoryThe role supports the everyday needs of managing a large digital team. It’s a fast pace and highly seasonal trading environment, with ever changing scenarios and opportunities, where relationships and stakeholder engagement is paramount.You willDevelop and execute Digital strategy across the food categories.Drive improvements in digital KPIs in line with commercial targets for the Food trading division.Produce a clear Food Category Plan, ensuring Digital Trading plays a pivotal role in the wider business success.Collaboratively work with other Trading Managers within the business on key projects to enhance the overall offering and drive the digital team success.Lead, coach and mentor a team of Digital Trading Executives. Ensure targets are clear and consistent. Ensure appropriate training needs are identified to ensure the team achieve individual potential.Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, engaging directly with digital teams to deliver win-win scenarios with these brands.Key requirement for the roleProven experience of Digital Trading, buying, merchandising, category planning, analysts/ insights, within Retail / FMCG.Excellent communication skillsConfident decision maker and use sound commercial judgement, to prioritise, communicate and deal effectively within the fast-changing retail sector.Confident and proficient in using data analysis and digital tools & interpretating data to make sound commercial decisionsIf you think you have the right experience and want to be given the opportunity to advance your career with a leading retailer, then get in touch and apply today
