Automation Tester

Job Title: Automatic Software Tester (with Mobile App Testing Experience)Hybrid 3 days onsite (non-negotiable)We are only accepting candidates that have a Full Right to work in the UK (PSW does not apply)Company Overview:The company began its journey in 1979 when the founding team designed and built the first electronic-point-of-sale (Epos) system. The technology is deployed in more than 16,000 sites across the UK.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using industry-standard tools and frameworks.Experience in automated software testing, with a focus on mobile app testing.Execute automated tests to validate mobile app functionality, performance, and compatibility across different devices and operating systems.Identify, prioritize, and report software defects specific to mobile platforms, ensuring timely resolution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand mobile app requirements and acceptance criteria.Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Continuously evaluate and improve mobile app testing strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.Qualifications:Proven experience in automated software testing, with a focus on mobile app testing.Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for mobile app testing (e.g. React Native, Selenium).Strong understanding of mobile app testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.Experience with manual testing of mobile applications on various devices and platforms.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.ISTQB or similar certification is preferred.
