Purchasing Lead

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-motivated candidate to join an established business as Purchasing Lead. The successful candidate will ideally be from a Manufacturing/Engineering background. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the purchasing department, ensuring efficient procurement operations and cost management. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to meet quality and delivery targets. Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, parts, and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Implement purchasing strategies. Key Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management. Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, purchasing software, and data analysis tools. Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
