Dovetail and Slate are an employment business working with a number of Secondary Schools seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Science Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for science in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons. You will help students develop a deep understanding of the scientific world, critical thinking skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons across the curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and student engagement.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote good behaviour in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Must have a DBS on the Update Service
- A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
