Head of Engineering - Mobile, Wellness

Location: London Hybrid (2 days per week on-site) Full-Time, Permanent Role, Salary up to £120k plus bonus Suitable candidates must have experience in; Mobile applications development Health and Wellness sectors D2C and also B2B digital product The Role: As the Head of Technology focussed on Mobile Applications and integrations related to HealthTech and e-commerce / CRM platforms - you'll take the technical lead for strategy and execution, collaborating closely as an excellent communicator with Heads of Product , in house Solution Architects and external 3rd party B2B relationships to shape the product and tech roadmap . You'll also oversee engineering teams (in-house, off-shore, and 3rd party) with direct line management responsibilities, ensuring seamless execution and top-tier delivery. The role will suit someone who has a mix of Product thinking and Technology Leadership, who can work with a mid size team that is growing and with a Product that is about to take off with huge D2C and B2B opportunities ahead. To be suitable, candidates will be well matched to the below technology aspects; Leadership : 6+ years in senior technical roles, leading web and mobile app development for B2B and D2C in HealthTech or similar. Technical Stack : Knowledge of iOS and Android, current and future trends. CRM and ecommerce and engagement platforms. Solid Architecture knowledge: Such as C+, Golang, NodeJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, REST/OAS3, GRPC, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (CodeMagic). Security, Monitoring and Data Privacy : Working awareness of cyber and data security System Integration : Expertise in third-party integration, eCommerce, CRM, API design, and solution architecture. AI & Innovation : Familiar with AI applications in HealthTech. Team Leadership : Skilled in managing distributed teams, excellent communication, and collaboration. Agile Methodologies : Embraces and promotes Agile/Scrum practices.
