Group Accountant (Revenue)

Group Accountant (Revenue) Grade 10, £47,153 - £51,201 (inclusive of local weighting) depending on experience. Full time (part-time working and job share considered). 37 Hours PW. Permanent. Based in Hertford with the option for home working up to 50% of working hours. We are looking for a third Group Accountant to join our newly transformed Strategic Finance team. Working closely with the Deputy Section 151 Officer, and other service leadership team colleagues, you will help East Herts Council navigate its way through its transformation agenda and in year budget requirements. In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Collection Fund accounting - Leading on Revenue budget monitoring activities - Managing the Revenue Monitoring team, with oversight of procurement and insurance administration - Closing accounts We are working in challenging times for Local Government, so we are looking for someone who can work at pace with a commercially focussed mindset and who is able to motivate, challenge and support colleagues.
