About The Night Support Worker Role: Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking charity based in Gwent, is looking for a compassionate and resilient individual to join their team as a permanent Night Support Worker. This role is ideal for someone looking to kick-start a career in support work with a chance to engage directly with residents through a variety of activities. If you have a passion for helping others and are comfortable working nights and weekends, this could be the perfect role for you! Night Support Worker - Key Responsibilities: Offer emotional and practical support to women and children in a safe refuge setting Help engage residents in evening activities like cooking, art classes, movie nights, and more Confidently handle crises and support individuals facing complex challenges, including substance misuse and mental health issues Complete needs assessments and support residents in accessing health, legal, and housing services Facilitate a calm, welcoming environment, even during moments of crisis Support the transition of residents to independent living, encouraging self-advocacy What You'll Need For This Night Support Worker Role: Soft skills are key: You'll need resilience, confidence, and the ability to stay calm under pressure Flexibility: Comfortable working nights, weekends, and bank holidays, with the ability to sleep on-site when the project is settled (sleeping from 11pm if no support is needed) Driver's license: You must hold a full license and be comfortable driving residents to appointments where needed (expenses covered) Why Apply?
