Job Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mould Maker to join our dynamic production team. As a Mould Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom moulds used in precast concrete production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery or carpentry, with an excellent understanding of technical drawings.This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled tradesperson to apply their craftsmanship in a growing industry with great long-term prospects. Key Responsibilities: Mould Construction: * Design and build custom moulds for precast concrete products according to engineering specifications and technical drawings. * Work with various materials, including wood, timber and plywood to craft durable, reusable moulds. * Ensure moulds are built with precision and attention to detail to meet the required dimensions and tolerances. Technical Expertise: * Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and production plans to ensure the accurate construction of moulds. * Modify or repair moulds as necessary to maintain quality standards and meet production needs. * Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve any technical issues related to mould designs or production processes. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a joiner, carpenter, or in a related trade involving woodwork or mould making. * Previous experience in the concrete or precast industry is highly desirable but not essential. Skills: * Strong carpentry and woodworking skills, with the ability to craft complex forms with accuracy. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans. * Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. * Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Other Requirements: * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Good communication skills to collaborate with production and engineering teams. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
