Fire Alarm Technical Manager

We are actively skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Technical Manager a housing contractor based in the Essex area on a permanent basis.

As the Fire Alarm Technical Manager, you will be:

• Design fire alarm systems including floorplans in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct cable, loop (apollo) and battery calculations
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine fire alarm system requirements.
• Produce cause and effect plans based on the Fire Risk Assessment and site surveys
• Review site documentation including asbestos reports, FRA, EICR and relevant records
• Produce quotes in accordance with client SOR
• Coordinate site access and third-party contractors

Fire Alarm Technical Manager Qualifications / Experience:

• Proven experience in surveying and designing, fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., BAFE SP203, NFCC).
• Proficiency in using fire alarm design software and tools (Flowplanner or CAD design tools)
• Experience working in a social housing setting.
• BS5839 Part 1 & 6
