Learning Support Assistant

Position: 1-2-1 Year 11 Mentor Location: Gloucester, SEN School Company: Ivy Resource Group Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role: Ivy Resource Group is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a 1-2-1 Year 11 Mentor. This role involves working closely with a very challenging Year 11 male student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, who sometimes exhibits erratic behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1-2-1 support to the student during the first four lessons each morning. Engage the student in afternoon activities such as football and gym sessions. Drive the student to various activities, ensuring safety and supervision at all times. Develop and implement strategies to manage and support the student's behaviour and learning needs. Foster a positive and encouraging environment to help the student achieve his academic and personal goals. Requirements: A strong background in sports or a sporty personality. Experience working with students with ASD and complex needs. Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills. A valid driver's license and business insurance to transport the student.
