Job Title: Electric Vehicle Project Officer Location: London Borough of Harrow, Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT Employer: Pertemps Recruitment Partnership for London Borough of Harrow Contract Type: Temporary Assignment Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 am - 5:00 pm Pay Rate: £250 – £300 per day Overview: Pertemps is seeking a motivated Electric Vehicle Project Officer to join the expanding team at the London Borough of Harrow. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £250 – £300 per day. Main Responsibilities: Manage a range of projects in line with the Council’s EV Charging Strategy and related projects, aligning with wider corporate and strategic objectives. Undertake projects with minimal supervision, including representing the section and presenting projects for decision at the appropriate level. Collaborate effectively both internally across Council departments and externally with partners to deliver projects, identify opportunities for joint initiatives, and secure new sources of funding. Coordinate procurement of works and professional services, including drafting briefs and specifications, preparing contract documents, obtaining quotations and tenders, and managing subsequent contracts. Monitor contracts with service providers and work with key stakeholders to improve service quality, promoting creative and innovative solutions to local problems, ensuring services meet community needs and are accessible to all users. Represent the Council as required, providing professional advice to Councillors and other officers on relevant service delivery areas, ensuring compliance with the Council’s standing orders. Handle all necessary administration, including discharging statutory duties, record keeping, stakeholder communications, reporting (oral and written), and high-quality monitoring and evaluation (including data analysis and presentation) of allocated projects.Requirements: Experience in managing traffic, transport, and/or parking improvement schemes. Ability to learn GIS and database management systems. Ability to secure grant funding to implement agreed strategies and policies. Experience in project delivery and contract management.
