Located in a lovely area within Thurrock Essex, you will feel welcomed as soon as you step through the front door from incredibly supportive staff and children. ** SEMH Teaching Assistant ** Thurrock, Essex ** September 2024 start ** Secondary School ** Long Term Contract till July 2025 ** £83 - £105 per day ** Open to Graduates ** Amazing SLT ** CPD Opportunities ** Potential to go Permanent ** Excellent education and training opportunities Your day will be varied; supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom to manage their own behaviour, engage with tasks set by the class teacher, and reach their potential. You will take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress. You will work on learning activities, promote confidence, and encourage students to act independently to succeed. Duties will include: ** Assist with daily activities in the classroom ** Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage fully with their education. ** Monitor and record progress, working closely with students and other support staff ** Provide 1-1 support and group support ** Behaviour management This is an incredibly rewarding role, in a wonderful school.
