Head of Grid (UK - PV/BESS/WIND)

I am partnering with one of the highest-growth, well-funded Renewable Energy Investment & Development platforms. They are now looking for a Head of Grid to be based in the UK. They currently develop, own, and operate multiple renewable technologies including PV/BESS/WIND through a combination of greenfield development, co-development agreements, and acquiring operational assets or projects at RTB. In terms of ambitions, they have targeted acquiring and developing 2GW annually across multiple different European markets. Culturally everyone is very friendly and it’s not in any way bureaucratic – just an adult environment built on trust.Some of the key responsibilities include:Being responsible for grid connection of new and existing solar, wind, and battery storage projects from the conceptual phase until operation.Cooperating with DNO/TNOs to secure grid connections for the new projects, and to provide options to optimize interconnections.Prepare scopes and negotiate technical studies and external contracts to ensure effective project delivery.Manage a small team of engineers.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a connections-focused environment within a DNO, TNO, power system engineering consultancy or similar.Strong knowledge of Grid Code and compliance requirements.If you believe that you are being described above or would like more information about the role, please get in touch through the quick apply button or reach out directly to [email protected]
