We are currently seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our science department. Role and Responsibilities: As a Science Technician, you will: Prepare and set up equipment, materials, and chemicals for science lessons, ensuring all resources are ready for practical experiments. Maintain and organize the science laboratories, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Assist teachers during practical lessons, providing technical support and guidance to students. Manage and maintain inventory, including ordering new supplies and keeping accurate records of stock levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials. Support the development of innovative and engaging science lessons by assisting with demonstrations and experiments.What We're Looking For: Experience working in a laboratory setting, ideally within an educational environment, is desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A good understanding of health and safety practices related to laboratory work. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for science and education, with a proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
