Solution Architect - CDE & BIM Programme Remote – 2 Days a month in London Outside IR35 6 Months Industry Background: The architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is undergoing a significant transformation driven by digital technologies. Common Data Environment (CDE) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) are becoming essential frameworks that enable efficient collaboration, data management, and decision-making across project lifecycle stages. Adopting ISO 19650 standards, this approach ensures that all project information is accurate, accessible, and reusable, enhancing overall efficiency and reducing risks. The shift to SaaS (Software as a Service) technology further enables seamless integration and scalability, making it a critical component of modern infrastructure projects.   Role Overview: As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in our client's CDE & BIM programme. You will be responsible for analysing the current IT architecture and designing new solutions to integrate strategic infrastructure supplier partners into the client's overarching infrastructure. This role involves leveraging SaaS technology solutions and building a robust architectural platform, with in-house configuration overseen by the architecture team.   Key Responsibilities: Analyse the organisation's current IT architecture to identify areas for improvement and integration. Design and implement new architectural solutions to incorporate strategic civil engineering supplier partners. Oversee the configuration of off-the-shelf SaaS technology solutions. Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) specialists and Data Architects, to understand broader requirements. Develop and maintain the Enterprise Licence to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational goals. Participate in Agile, iterative sprints to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively.  Qualifications: Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within the construction, engineering, or related industries. Strong understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) with knowledge of ISO 19650 standards. Experience with SaaS technology solutions, particularly in configuration and integration. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong communication and documentation skills. Agile methodology experience is highly desirable
