The Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Associate Town Planner or Associate Director to join a growing consultancy in London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping urban development in one of the UK's most dynamic cities. You will be responsible for leading projects, providing expert planning advice, and managing client relationships to deliver successful planning outcomes. A strong client following is essential to ensure a smooth transition into active projects. Key Responsibilities: Managing and delivering a variety of planning projects from inception to completion. Providing strategic planning advice to a diverse client base, including developers, landowners, and local authorities. Leading and mentoring junior planners within the team. Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and related documents. Negotiating with local authorities and stakeholders to secure project approvals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other planning professionals. Keeping up to date with changes in planning legislation and policies.Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline. MRTPI qualification or eligibility for membership. Proven experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment. Strong understanding of the planning system and current planning policies in London. Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
