Project Manager - Structured Cabling & Data Centre Infrastructure Projects

My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead structured cabling and data centre infrastructure projects. In this role, you will oversee multiple workstreams, manage project teams, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating resources and stakeholders.
• Ensure that project designs and installations meet client specifications and statutory requirements.
• Team Leadership
• Provide leadership and direction to the project delivery team.
• Maximize the potential of team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Health & Safety
• Lead health and safety efforts, ensuring safety standards are maintained across all activities.
• Client Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring project requirements are met and future opportunities are explored.
• Financial Management
• Control budgets, manage costs, and ensure projects meet profitability targets.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and cost monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure all project activities adhere to internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, risk assessments, and progress reports.

Essential:

• Proven experience managing structured cabling and/or data centre infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure profitability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, Teams).

Desirable:

• Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, RCDD, or CDCDP.
• Experience with CRM systems and familiarity with core networking infrastructure, CCTV, or AV systems.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong financial awareness.
• Familiarity with current structured cabling standards (BSI) and data centre best practices.
