SEN TA with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time Pay: £85-£100 per day Location: Colindale Job Type: Full Time, Long Term About the school: We are a small, close-knit school community, offering education for around 350 students aged 2-11. All pupils attending the school have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). About the role: We’re looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join a wonderful team at Greenmead School, located in Colindale, London. Greenmead is a special primary school with an Outstanding Ofsted rating, providing inclusive and engaging education for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, as well as complex health needs. You will be playing a key role in providing targeted support to students who may struggle with behavioural regulation. Your role will include working alongside experienced teachers and support staff to implement individualised strategies for learning, behaviour management, and emotional support. You’ll be working with children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to create a calm, safe, and productive learning environment where every child can feel understood and valued. This is a full-time, long-term role, perfect for someone who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential. Application Requirements: • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with challenging behaviours. • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. • A willingness to get involved in the day-to-day life of the school and its community. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours. • Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in their learning and emotional development. • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and follow personalised learning plans. • Help create a positive and supportive classroom environment. • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
