IT Service desk Manager - Permanent - Full Time -Belfast £45,000 to £55,000 DOE REED Technology Belfast are delighted to partner with our client, an industry leader in retail, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking to recruit a Permanent IT Manager to join their team. Are you an experienced IT Manager who has worked in a fast paced commercial organisation with experience of managing complex infrastructure? This is a fantastic opportunity within a highly ambitious organisation offering an excellent salary and benefits package. This is a hands on role providing front-line IT support for over 500 users, managing & maintaining network infrastructure across 30+ branches which cover both the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will have worked in a commercial, fast paced and sizeable organisation with hands-on management of IT infrastructure, and be confident restructuring the IT environment by adding value to users and improving: Information Security, Regulatory Compliance and Hardware/Software. You will have a proven technical background and a 'can-do' attitude and be able to articulate solutions at a high level to lesser Technical experienced individuals. The IT Manager will have overall responsibility for the maintenance and administration of all servers, desktops/laptop PC's, printers, mobile equipment and network equipment. This will include troubleshooting and support. This is a key role within the business and as a result we are seeking candidates who have experience in the following areas: Responsibilities: Ownership of server infrastructure; including diagnostics, monitoring, updates/expansion, warranty etc Management, monitoring and maintenance of backups, DR plans and overall system security Experience of Retail EPOS systems Experience managing a distributed IT system within a busy environment Ownership and procurement of all MS Office, desktop and server operating systems/products, antivirus software and other programs Administration of core IT systems including hardware/software installation, management of security updates, rollouts and patches for all software Network management and optimisation including document repository maintenance, hardware procurement, hardware performance monitoring and front-line IT support Technical lead on all systems implementation projects, system interfaces and key liaison with software providers Overall responsibility for group telecommunication procurement and day-to-day management, including mobile phones and tablets Acting as key advisor to the Directors on technical matters Management of vendor selection, consulting contracts and service agreements for IT Previous experience of Managing budgets. Essential Criteria Third level qualification in an IT related discipline, or HND with extensive experience within the IT Industry A minimum three years' experience as an IT Manager within a commercial environment Working and practical knowledge of operating systems, platforms, databases, hardware and software Experience working to deadlines in a pressured environment Practical knowledge of report development Experience of ERP applications To apply please contact Niall Lennon for an initial and confidential discussion.
