We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of People Data Insight Specialist. Role purpose: HSBC Innovation Banking are looking for a People Data Insights Specialist to support the delivery and development of our HR Analytics strategy to provide insight which actively supports our business and HR priorities. Operating as a subject matter expert, the People Data Insights Specialist will take a hands-on approach to deliver a high quality service with timely, high impact and insightful people data analytics. This includes timely production and delivery of accurate HR Reporting, analytics and insights for various People Committees, leadership team meetings and various stakeholders across the business to support decision making. The role will report locally to the Director, HR Change and Transformation. Role responsibilities: Work closely with the Director, HR Change and Transformation to help shape and deliver the HR Analytics Strategy and roadmap. Collaborate with stakeholders, including HR Leadership Team, and other enabling functions to identify and prioritise reporting and analysis requirements which support the delivery of Business and HR Strategies Design and maintain business insight reports that provide insight on our people data by highlighting trends, identifying the potential causes and the possible impact of any interventions Provide, maintain and develop regular management reports, such as: Monthly HR reporting of key metrics (e.g. headcount, attrition, absence, performance etc.), quarterly metrics pack which tracks trends and support other quarterly / annual reporting (e.g. Diversity, Performance, L&D, Engagement Survey etc). Manage any adhoc requests for data and insights as required Ensure we are maintaining company data integrity by using a regular audit processes for the data held in the HR Systems, monitoring and recording any data issues Ensure our reports and processes safeguard all employee sensitive data in line with GDPR regulations Enhance the profile, visibility, understanding and application of HR analytics and insights by improving and simplifying the reports and any related processes. Assume responsibility for identifying trends in data to drive conversations on those findings with the appropriate stakeholder/s Innovate and recommend methods whereby analytics can be used to improve decision making and operational efficiency of the business, acting as a change ambassador in this space. Continuous improvement of offering, by rationalising and simplifying reporting, ensure rigorous quality control, accuracy and relevance to audience. In addition, identifying, and taking the opportunity to expand and develop reporting and analytics Cultivating positive and professional working relationships with the HR team and the wider business Coaching and training of others in the wider HR team of reporting tools and systems, encouraging a sense of accountability and ownership Experience / Knowledge: An experienced in Data / MI analyst with strong experience in HR Analytics, business analytics or a related field. A track record producing quarterly, monthly & ad-hoc reporting packs using various data sources and reporting tools Project work – Experience in leading or supporting projects, in particular those involving data migration, system implementation or process improvement Data analysis tools – Proficiency in data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization software HR Systems – Familiarity with HR information systems such as SuccessFactors, Workday etc Database Management – understanding of databases, including SQL for querying and managing HR Data Data cleaning and transformation – Skills in data cleaning, transformation and ensuring data integrity Data reporting – Experience in generating reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate data insights effectively Quantitative Analysis – Strong quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets Problem solving – Passionate about identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and providing actionable insights to aid decision making Critical thinking – strong critical thinking skills to analyse complex problems and identify solutions Data storytelling – Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights and present them to non-technical stakeholders A high level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness Confidentiality – Strong commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of HR data Adaptability – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Growth mindset and a willingness to learn If you think you are up for the task and feel you meet the above criteria or interested to hear more information, please contact me on [email protected] Please note, in the event of a high volume of applications for this role, we will not be able to respond to each individual applicant.
