As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.
This role will help us to do this by providing a professional roofing service that delivers an excellent customer experience. Adhering to health and safety regulations and organisational policies and procedures, you will provide a fantastic repairs service and make sure our homes are well maintained for our customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Carry out all aspects of roofing works to the customers homes and empty homes
Inspect damages and estimate costs of labour, plant and materials
Repair or replace broken materials (slate, tile or flat roofing components)
Deliver an excellent customer experience to our customers
Report any potential repairs and safeguarding issues
Order parts, materials or follow up work as required
We need people who have:
Experience of undertaking roofing work and associated multitasking activities in customers' homes
Sound building and construction knowledge
City and Guilds Parts 1 and 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Roofing
Experience of working our areas and quantities
General building maintenance repair knowledge
Full valid driving licence
