Interim Head of Operations

We are currently working on behalf of a national business within the water treatment sector who have been leaders in the industries since their inception over 100 years ago. With customer service and technical knowledge being at the core of everything they do, they truly stand above the competition when it comes to uninterrupted high-level service. They are now currently looking for an Interim Head of Operations for long term cover within the business for a term of six to twelve months with the potential for the role to become a permanent position should it be of interest to the candidate. The role will involve planning directional deliverables for multiple operational and design teams across the business whilst ensuring operational compliance to business and internal standards. The role will suit a highly ambitious operations leader who has a passion for people / efficiency and delivery. The key responsibilities for this Interim Head of Operations role include: Ensure Day to day workloads for teams are managed through line reports, ensuring that all tasks are completed in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. Ensure Health, Safety and all related quality and environmental strategic factors are embedded into daily operations. Set high standards and support in management audits and site assessments. Ensure all resource are developed and trained to the standards expected for operations delivery, including statutory and regulation training requirements. Prioritise managers and teams to ensure client specific requests and contractual obligations are adhered to. Identify and implement additional works and procedures that will enhance the work delivery. Delivers to budgetary and operational associated targets, set by Frameworks teams. Ensures operational outputs and costs are linked to optimise overall business performance. Provide technical expertise to clients and customers, undertaking client visits and external events when appropriate.      Qualifications & experience required to be successful in this interim Head of Operations role: Extensive senior operations management experience within the manufacturing and engineering sector. Water treatment industry knowledge and experience is essential. Have a background in engineering and hold a HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Good knowledge of mechanical / electrical plant and control equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. So what’s on offer with the Interim Head of Operations role?
