I am looking for an experienced inventory and revenue accountant who will be and integral part of the UK finance team for my Mid size Pharmaceutical client .
Working with the Supply Chain team, this role leads the day to day financial activities related to inventory control and reporting of cost of sales.
This includes preparation of month end accounts, budgeting & forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, standard cost calculations and meeting audit and year end statutory accounting requirements.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential for the role

- Statutory Compliance Responsible for the valuation and reconciliation of group inventories in line with IFRS requirements and consolidation of financial statements (IFRS and UK GAAP) for UK filing purposes
- Reviews and analyses landed costs to ensure that inventory is valued accurately (on a product, SKU and location basis) in accordance with IFRS
- Leads the financial audit in relation to stock checks and inventory reconciliation. Responsible to implement audit recommendations

- Central Distribution Hub Accounting Accounting for stock movements between packaging plants and Arvato and from Arvato to customers
- Reconciling stock movements at the packaging plants and Arvato
- Reconciling stock movements with sales transactions at Arvato
- Monitoring, reconciling and resolving discrepancies with Arvato on a regular basis during the month
- Controls Responsible for ensuring controls over inventory are robust and movements are recorded accurately.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education / Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA), preferably with a relevant Finance or Accounting degree.
- Broad Finance and Accounting experience with operational business experience
- Previous experience with inventory management and standard costing preferred
Technical Skills & Experience
- Advanced level in MS Office packages, integrated accounting systems including SAP and related transactional, report generating software and experience managing data (both batch control and financial).Proven ability to process high volumes of data rapidly and operate routine workflows and processes.
- Understands what constitutes good internal control and governance.
- Broad and in-depth Finance knowledge with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to individuals with limited finance knowledge and provide definitive financial advice.
