You will be working across our lifelong learning and outreach services. A key part of your role will be to develop our "Everyone Everywhere" offering. We strongly believe that good support doesn't stop at the walls of our premises but needs to involve engagement with the community. We need to support the people with learning disabilities to lead glorious ordinary lives by participating fully in their local communities. The "Everyone Everywhere" initiative also entails growing the community's awareness of MacIntyre and what we do. Our experience shows once we engage with the community, we start a virtuous circle where ideas and activities that enrich the lives of the people we support come not just from MacIntyre but from the whole local environment.You'll also be supporting our adults with personal development through taking part in our highly-praised training program.This role is 37.5 hours a week working as part of a rota that consists of working both in a Lifelong Learning Centre and on a 1:1 basis out in the Community with the People we Support - this type of support will include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.#IND1About youYou will need experience working with people who have a learning disability and/ or autism. Perhaps you're a care assistant or support worker and are ready to take your next step up the ladder.
