The VacancyHGV Tankering EngineerChoose a career with the UK's biggest independent drainage specialistThe Lanes Group needs a HGV Tanker Engineer to join our Operational Team in Rushden, working withing a well established team that are looking to expand further with another strong member of staff. The job:You will working independently operating our high specification tankering vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, moving treated and untreated waste product, assisting with remedial works on Anglian Water sites and emergency reactive works.Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition. About you:You may already be familiar with vacuumation Tankering works, but no problem if not, as full training will be given for the right candidates.You will be required to hold an HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally. A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is essential.You can become a successful Utilities Waste-Water Technician if you have problem-solving, listening, critical thinking, teamworking abilities and a customer focussed approach. Also, as you need to operate machinery, excellent hand-eye coordination and concentration are essential skills. The following skills are also useful: Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry. Physical fitness and lots of energy. Ideally A driving licence with no more than 6 points Industry related qualifications such as NRSWA and Confined SpaceTo work in the Utilities industry, you may have to compete with inclement weather outdoors. Protective clothing such as a hi-vis jacket, boots, and a helmet are mandatory requirements, and you may be asked to travel to different sites.The workday starts early, especially during the summer, when there is light in the morning but emergency assistance can often be needed whilst working in a reactive industry.You will be expected to comply with all Group Health Safety and Environmental compliance, full Training with be provided as part of a Group Induction Training package which will include high pressure jetting course, confined space, manual handling, first aid and other relevant courses to obtain certification.
