Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

  • Working on a Monday to Friday, days only shift pattern
  • Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm
  • Friday: 7am - 2pm
  • Engineers will need to be flexible to work occasional weekends and they make look at the working hours onto a shift pattern in the future.
  • For a manufacturing company based in Stafford
  • Circa £40,000 per year (flexible for the right candidate)

As an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer, you will join a dedicated maintenance team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production machinery such as conveyors, pasteurisers, homogenisers, filling machinery, and bottle washers.


What are your job duties?

  • Routine and breakdown maintenance
  • Electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Mechanical repairs and part fabrication
  • Working on a variety of filling, packaging and production machinery
  • Swift response to machinery breakdowns to ensure continuous production
  • Occasional overtime to complete urgent repairs and cover for team members during holidays or illness
  • Adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment


What qualifications, skills, and experience do you require?

  • 18th Edition Electrical qualifications
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an FMCG environment
  • Ability to work with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training
  • Additional skills such as MEWP, FLT, first aid, and TIG welding are advantageous
  • Agile and capable of working in various positions, including using ladders
