We're recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer. Please read on if you're considering your next challenge. THE ROLE This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team who are responsible for producing PLC and HMI code for Special Purpose Machinery used on production lines within the FMCG/Packaging industries. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the design and development of new control systems. Upgrading of existing equipment and integration with new automation/controls. Development of Functional, Detailed and Software Design Specifications from User Requirement Specifications. PLC / HMI Programming - Siemens and Rockwell. System design and creation of required robot, PLC and HMI programming using IEC 61131-3 languages. Conducting site surveys and technical meetings participation. Start up, commissioning and fault finding on customers sites. Support innovation and new product line integration. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Education in a relevant engineering discipline to HNC / HND qualification. 5+ years experience in Controls & Automation, ideally within the FMCG / Packaging industries. Software design experience on Rockwell or Siemens PLCs and HMIs. Knowledge and experience of using industrial comms protocols (EthernetIP or Profinet). Motion and servo control systems experience.
