As a permanent employee of Peregrine, with access to all our standard benefits, you will be deployed across our portfolio of clients as a specialist consultant, working on a wide array of complex projects across multiple industries.  The Role:  The Security Analyst specializing in Process and IT General Controls (ITGC) is responsible for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems by implementing and maintaining robust security processes and controls. This role involves assessing, designing, and monitoring ITGC frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: ITGC Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain ITGC frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with Security Partner: Work closely with our security partner, Grant Thornton, to ensure robust security measures and compliance. Controls Management: Manage and maintain security controls using Cynomi, ensuring effective risk management and compliance. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Process Improvement: Analyse existing security processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with ITGC policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR). Incident Response: Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans to address security breaches and other incidents. Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including the preparation of documentation and evidence of compliance. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of ITGC and security best practices among staff. Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and business units to ensure security controls are integrated into business processes. Skills & Experience: Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on ITGC and process improvement. Experience with Cynomi is considered an advantage, highlighting familiarity with its features and functionalities. Strong understanding of ITGC frameworks and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in risk assessment and management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex information and develop effective solutions. Integrity: Maintains high ethical standards and ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information. Adaptability: Able to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
