Bookkeeper (new)

Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a well-established, family run business in Saltdean that are currently seeking an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper, you will need to have experience working within the construction industry, dealing with payroll for subcontractors. Part Time Bookkeeper Location: Saltdean Hourly rate: £16 - £18 per hour Working Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible on days) Hybrid working opportunities after probation Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper: Overseeing daily income and expenditure transactions Performing bank and credit card reconciliations Preparing VAT returns and CIS monthly returns Administering weekly PAYE payroll and for subcontractors Managing pension contributions Maintaining accurate financial records up to trial balance level and managing journal entries Required Experience: Previous experience with accounts / bookkeeping Proficiency with Sage Online Accounting / Payroll or Sage 50 Accounts / Sage 50 Payroll desirable Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle financial discrepancies How to Apply: If you are a diligent and detail-oriented professional with the relevant experience, we would love to hear from you.
