Warehouse/Logistics Planner

Hours : Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.30 My client is one of the market leaders in providing short term computer rental and AV hire services to a range of customers through the UK and Europe. Due to growth they have an opportunity for a warehouse/ logistics planner to join their busy despatch department. Based out of the Wokingham office, the ideal candidate will have a flexible can-do attitude and previous experience within a logistics environment. Responsibilities: * Receive and log all equipment received through the door via computer-based Goods In Log. * Ensure all orders are picked , packaged and available for despatch in a timely fashion. * Book In equipment returns and make available for orders in a timely fashion. * Supporting with deliveries in the companies vehicles as and when required. * Monitor the delivery and collection schedules ensuring that all planned movements are actioned within set timelines * Make appropriate bookings with external couriers and mange cost associated * Updating the inhouse computer systems with all activities * Handle any shipping queries from customers and internal departments * Organising routes for the drivers to maximise efficiencies and minimise costs * Occasionally attending events and supporting the team with set up of equipment and loading/unloading * Assist with ad hoc projects as and when required Requirements: * A clean valid UK driving license * Previous experience working within a busy logistics operation * Previous experience in logistics planning * Good organisation and planning skills * Good ability to use initiative * Ability to manage changing priorities * Proactive, self-starter * Flexible approach to working hours Benefits include Overtime paid at T ½ and double outside of standard hours Excellent working environment and career progression 25 days holiday + bank holidays and the option to buy more Bupa health care Pension scheme up to 5% An array of lifestyle discounts and benefits
