Interim Group Financial Controller | Renewable Energy Tech Scale-Up | 6 month Contract
Harmonic are delighted to have been engaged exclusively by a Renewable Energy scaleup who are looking to recruit an Interim Group Financial Controller for a 6 month period with the potential of extension or transfer to permanent. This role will sit Outside IR35.
The Client
Our client has a global reach with offices based across several continents and has carved out a niche within the renewable energy sector. Specifically, they are involved in developing and manufacturing products that will have a significant impact across multiple sectors. There is an excellent leadership team in place, all of whom have prior success scaling organisations globally.
They operate a culture which is renowned for its drive and ambition. Based in London, they operate a hybrid policy, expecting 2 days in the office and 3 from home. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute and impact a rapidly scaling organisation in their growth journey.
The Role
Reporting into the CFO, you will be supporting the management of a finance team consisting of 6 people (based across UK and US offices). Ensuring the smooth management and efficiency within the finance function is a crucial element of the role. This is a broad position, with an initial focus on managing the year-end process and technical accounting, but will in time include elements of business partnering with the CFO, working on exciting strategic and commercial projects.
Duties
- Partner with the CFO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the commercial and strategic projects.
- Owning the day-to-day running of month-end and delivering insightful management accounts.
- Owning the FP&A function and delivering insightful Management Information.
- Effectively managing and developing a finance team of 6 people.
- Ensuring there is a robust controls environment.
- Oversight over all financial governance.
- Exploring new strategic initiatives.
- Managing a smooth audit process.
- Ad-hoc projects to support the CFO
Essential Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience within Manufacturing or Automotive (ideally renewable technology)
- Strong communication skills
Day Rate: £500- £625 per day (Outside IR35)
