As a Design Manager you ll be responsible for
Tender stage responsibilities
- Attend the launch meeting with the estimator and planner
- Review the tender documentation in terms of design requirements
- Liaise with consultants / design parties
- Identify opportunities for value engineering
- Summarise risk items that may require qualification/investigation
Contract Stage-
- Review of the tender information package
- Prepare and issue Information Release schedule to the construction team
- In accordance with Lean Principles, issue information release schedule to designers and sub-contractors.
- Prepare and formalise the appointment of the designers.
- Review of the quotations received for the subcontract packages and provide feedback to the construction teams from a design perspective.
Must haves:
HNC/HND/Degree in Construction Management/Architecture
