An opportunity has arisen to join our Assets & Liabilities Management team. Our ALM team provide a pivotal role, forecasting and monitoring the Society's financial risks, opportunities and balance sheet composition on a behavioural basis.

About the role

You will be a key member of the ALM team calculating and reporting the Society's Market exposures and supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the Society's ALM models. This will include extensive usage of QRM, the Society's risk management system, with ample opportunity to help develop and optimise the system and models to create further value added insights and recommendations to Senior Management.

A key part of the role will be supporting other members of the team in a technical capacity.

What will you bring to the role?

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in a Treasury/ALM position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Market Risk (IRRBB) concepts and measurements.
  • Experience of operating and developing a bespoke risk management / income simulation model e.g. QRM.
  • Ability to coach and mentor Trainee ALM Analysts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including a good level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to manage and analyse large sets of financial data.
  • Ability to communicate proposals and recommendations in written and verbal form to a range of recipients including senior management.

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of VBA and/or SQL.
