Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 post within the Patient Flow Co-ordinator team at the Leeds Childrens Hospital. You will work closely with the ward managers and matrons and out of hours the Clinical Site Matrons ensuring that patients are placed appropriately across all specialities. You will be required to ensure patients in the Emergency Department are placed within the four hour target. As part of the role you will be allocated to a Matron patch and will be involved in audits, ward healthcheck, infection prevention, waste reduction and quality improvement projects. Expected Shortlisting Date: 23/10/2024 Planned Interview Date: 30/10/2024 Main duties of the jobIn conjunction with the ward managers and matrons you will be required to review nurse staffing and skill mix across childrens services ensuring that all clinical areas have safe staffing levels.The post holder will be required to have excellent communication skills.This is an excellent opportunity if you are an experienced Band 6 and are looking for a new opportunity . The jobholder is responsible for the management of the flow of children in and out of the childrens hospital.The job holder will contribute to the development of the speciality service as well as contributing to the strategic direction of childrens nursing within the Trust.The jobholder will ensure cost effective use of resources. The job holder will support the development of interdisciplinary and whole service working. As a role model they will promote the sharing of good practice and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care. The job holder will provide training and education to staff groups, patients and families/carers.The post holder will work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to implement and improve the patient pathway and will be expected to develop new skills to further enhance the quality of the service delivered.
