Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.The service you will work in….Old Oak Road is a two year temporary step down accommodation for people mental health and complex needs the aim of the service is to get you ready for independent living and helps you to get involved with the wider community.Hestia's Ealing Mental Health accommodation-based services are based in Acton. We support adults with mental health needs. We provide key work sessions to support individuals to meet their own aspirations with the aim to develop and build independent living skills and increase social inclusion, under the direction of the Team Manager. We work closely with local partners to ensure people have the support they need to achieve their goals. A day in this role looks like….As a Recovery Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Empower service users to engage effectively in their liaisons with professionals within the community such as community mental health teams, social work teams, housing providers, health professionals, Job Centre Plus etc.Develop co-produced group activities, peer support networks and other community-based approaches to empowering service users to achieve their goals and aspirations and to encourage service users to access these opportunities. Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure service coverage and that contractual obligations are met.Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users ensuring all concerns are followed up promptly and in line with procedures.Ensure that administration is done in good time; that detailed, concise and accurate records are created contemporaneously, and that confidentiality is appropriately maintained.Assist the Team Manager to manage health and safety, repairs, and maintenance of the premisesProvide support to the Team Manager to manage voids across the service.Ensure referrals, assessments and service reviews are effective and timely.Empower service users to develop independent living skills as part of a planned move on process.Assist the Team Manager to plan, negotiate and manage budgets and to makebest use of property, equipment, and information technology.Carry out duties, in line with organisational policies and procedures.To work flexibly as part of the team to ensure service coverage and that contractual obligations are met.Why Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger.
