Overview

New business development is an identified core strategic objective. The position holder will bring a proven track record of driving revenue growth. They will possess a detailed understanding of the contemporary food manufacturing procurement environment. Dairy and food ingredients have been integral to Longulf's identity since its inception and will remain so. A thorough grasp of food science technologies is vital to win the trust and confidence of business partners, with a particular focus on value addition for manufacturers. Frequent sourcing trips, sometimes in rural locations, processing centres and export hubs are a core responsibility. This recruitment seeks to broaden our active sphere of influence for both sourcing and sales.

From time to time, as required, the position holder will be expected to actively support other members of the team in commercial duties which sit beyond their immediate budgetary targets under direct signature.



Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities)


To generate new third party (external) trade, adding to our sales accounts in existing and new geographies, beyond existing Group interests.

To identify new manufacturing sources for supply of relevant materials, conduct physical

premises audits, compliance screening, to incorporate within Longulf's supplier portfolio.

Work closely with Longulf Group office network to leverage opportunities.

Identify where additional resource allocation is required to drive business development.

Play a significant role in new projects seeking to land viablecommercially additions to our current portfolio

To report and advise senior colleagues of trading opportunities.

To acquireknowledge and expertise in our traded products enablingLongulf to offer timely market intelligence.

To commit accurate and relevant intelligence to the Division's data bases.

To participate in the Division's continuous education, and risk management programmes.


Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong business work ethic. Persistent.

Initiative.

Possession of fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, addition to English, preferred.
