Overview Montcalm Collection are looking for a skilled and ambitious Shift Engineer to join our team. Help to shape the Montcalm Collections next chapter and showcase your skills. Become a trusted ambassador for one of our hotels and take advantage of the opportunity to move between properties, achieving the service and product delivery standards for the department with a high degree of customer care and service. Inclusive pension schemes Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day wide range of maintenance duties, planned (PPMs) and unplanned Respond to Maintenance calls in a timely manner Ensure all works are carried out to high standard Able to conduct general repairs, such as electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, carpentry, plumbing, painting, decorating, tiling, etc Follow Fire and Health & Safety Procedures Ensure engineering equipment is never left unattended in public areas and properly stored after work Check plant rooms, to ensure that all equipment functions well and ensure the place is kept clean and hazard free Knowledgeable and of assistance to any contractors working on site, ensure proper identification, registration is caried out Ensure stock control of the parts required in Engineering and reports any shortages to Line Manager, i.e. light bulbs, cables, paint Collaborate closely with Maintenance Manager in planning works that may be delayed in time for various reasons Train other less experienced team members
Essential Qualifications Previous experience as Maintenance Technician or Shift Engineer Relevant technical certification or qualifications Electrical qualification desirable Knowledge of HVAC systems, power systems and refrigeration Good organisational and time management skills Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Good team player
