CNC Setter, Operator, Programmer Full time, Permanent (40 hr week) Monday – Thursday (7am-4pm) Friday (7am-1:00pm) £17.30 - £19.23 per hour Marlow Job Idea: 32597 Overview We are excited to be recruiting for a leading manufacturer based in High Wycombe who specialise in critical components (both metal and plastics). This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter/ Operator to develop their skillset and grow within a technical department which will also include offline programming. The purpose of this role is to provide a specialist CNC milling function to the manufacturing process. The role is accountable for efficiently delivering conforming products on time in full (OTIF) to meet customer commitments. This role supports the continuous improvement of processes and people-centric resolutions to complex, multi-disciplined challenges. Scope and Responsibilities * Machining will predominantly be 3 & 4 axis (some 5 axis) * Setting of machines and materials to run programmes + programme adjustments as appropriate (Haas experience is advantageous) * Offline programming will also be apart of the role – any CAM package experience is welcome * Development of machining programs for parts modelled, optimising set-up times, and run times to give efficiency and best cost. * Appropriate tooling identification and selection (considering appropriate materials and cutting parameters) * Maintain component quality standards. * Programme validation - Maintaining records of programming, set-up and run times * Costing/estimation for future projects * Liaison with Design regarding existing parts improvement and new parts ‘Design for manufacture’ * Product cost improvement programme * Adherence and compliance to ISO standards Benefits * 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. * Pension scheme (5%-3%) * Health cash plan (includes opticians, physio & much more) * Sick pay Embracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer.
