Full job description Nursery Nurse Apprentice with The Elms Nursery and Junior school * £6.40 per hour, 40 hours per week * Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00 with 30-minute lunch break. * Trent College, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Nottingham, NG10 4 AD * You will be working towards Early Years Practitioner Level 2 which will take approximately 16 months. Do you have an interest in working with young children? Do you have a flair for creativity and a passion for teaching? If so, you may be interested in studying as an Early Years Educator. Read on to learn more… So, what will your day to day look like? * Interacting with children, helping to support development, and role modelling positive behaviour. * Planning activities and Updating Tapestry (online learning journal). * Liaising with parents * Reporting any Health and Safety issues to line manager * To report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant person What skills/qualifications or personalities would be suited to this role? * You must have a minimum of English/Maths GCSE 4/C to apply for this role and you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years * You must have Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or equivalent * Suitable for school leavers who may have carried out babysitting duties or work experience in a nursery setting * Caring and compassionate * Honest and trustworthy * Professional and positive minded * Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative What do you need to know about The Elms Nursery and Junior school? The Elms Junior School is a co-educational, independent day school for 4 to 11-year-olds. The Elms Pre-School and Nursery welcomes children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive environment where you can encourage children to learn whilst also developing yourself!
